New Venture Creation
Catalog Description
This capstone course will focus on the integrative and strategic application of the core business and specialty courses. The course requires students to identify a market opportunity, develop a viable business model and comprehensive business plan for a new venture. Students will explore advanced topics in entrepreneurship such as lean startups, franchising, buying or selling an existing business, and preparing the venture for funding. Students will present and defend an "entrepreneurial venture" in a judged competitive forum.
