Clinical Psychology

Catalog Description

This course will introduce students to the scientific basis for clinical psychology’s approaches to the conceptualization, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders. Students will explore theoretical foundations, diagnostic and therapeutic strategies from psychodynamic, cognitive, person-centered and behavioral perspective. Throughout the course, students will examine the importance of culture, ethnicity, and gender in the psychotherapeutic process.
