Strategic Perspectives in IT

This asynchronous, instructor-facilitated online course is designed to prepare CUNY students for learning the modern principles, continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and usage of an array of automation tools for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices. From a senior management perspective, we explore the guidelines on how and where to start transforming an operation into the world of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) delivery using infrastructure as a code. Students learn the fundamental concepts on how to bring technology operations into the Agile universe, ultimately resulting in faster software delivery, without compromising on quality with concept such as cloud computing, micro-services, container etc. Additionally, they will also learn about overall monitoring the overall platform, standard IT KPI metrics and basic vulnerability management.
